CURRENT CDTF MEMBERS ONLY Tour Description Qualified as an HH-60 Maintainer. Performs dedicated crew chief duties as assigned, conducts pre-flight, basic post-flight, and thru-flight inspections, executes ground servicing, launch, and recovery operations, and ensures the total safety, airworthiness, and mission readiness of the aircraft. Day-to-day duties include but are not limited to: coordinating with the operations group to ensure aircraft availability aligns with the mission and training schedule, coordinating with maintenance back-shops to expedite unscheduled repairs and scheduled inspections, and maintaining aircraft status and maintenance tracking calendars. Prior to missions, the Crew Chief will configure and service the aircraft for specific operational profiles, ensure all maintenance forms and historical records are accurate and complete prior to launch, and execute post-mission recovery, inspections, and required documentation.
