Job Description

Position Summary:
We are looking for a friendly, organized, and customer-focused Front Desk Associate to be the face of our auto shop. The ideal candidate will handle customer inquiries, schedule appointments, manage transactions, and ensure a seamless customer experience from start to finish. This role is key to creating a welcoming atmosphere and maintaining smooth operations at the shop.


Key Responsibilities:

  1. Customer Service:

    • Greet customers in a friendly and professional manner.
    • Address customer inquiries about services, pricing, and repair timelines.
    • Communicate updates on vehicle repairs and services.
  2. Appointment Scheduling:

    • Schedule service appointments and coordinate with the shop team to ensure timely completion of work.
    • Confirm and follow up on appointments with customers.
  3. Administrative Duties:

    • Maintain accurate records of customer information, services performed, and transactions.
    • Manage incoming phone calls and emails.
    • Ensure the front desk area is organized and presentable.
  4. Payment Processing:

    • Handle billing, invoicing, and payment processing using point-of-sale (POS) systems.
    • Address billing inquiries and resolve discrepancies.
  5. Coordination with Technicians:

    • Communicate customer needs and repair instructions to mechanics.
    • Assist in managing the workflow by prioritizing service requests.
  6. Product Knowledge:

    • Provide basic information about auto shop services and products.
    • Upsell services or products as appropriate to customer needs.

Qualifications:

  • High school diploma or equivalent.
  • Previous customer service or administrative experience, preferably in an automotive or service industry.
  • Strong communication and interpersonal skills.
  • Proficiency in using computers and office software (e.g., scheduling systems, POS systems).
  • Ability to multitask and handle a fast-paced environment.
  • Knowledge of automotive terminology or interest in learning is a plus.

Work Environment:
