Position Summary:
We are seeking a skilled and reliable mechanic to join our team. The ideal candidate will be responsible for diagnosing, repairing, and maintaining a variety of vehicles, ensuring optimal performance and safety. This role requires attention to detail, technical expertise, and a commitment to excellent customer service.


Key Responsibilities:

  1. Vehicle Diagnosis and Repair:

    • Perform thorough inspections to identify mechanical and electrical issues.
    • Diagnose problems using diagnostic tools and equipment.
    • Repair or replace faulty components, including brakes, engines, transmissions, and suspension systems.
  2. Routine Maintenance:

    • Conduct scheduled maintenance such as oil changes, tire rotations, and fluid checks.
    • Inspect and maintain vehicle systems, including cooling, exhaust, and fuel systems.
  3. Safety Compliance:

    • Ensure vehicles meet safety standards and regulations.
    • Test drive vehicles post-repair to verify functionality and performance.
  4. Record Keeping:

    • Document all repairs, maintenance, and inspections performed on vehicles.
    • Maintain accurate records for customer vehicles and shop inventory.
  5. Customer Service:

    • Communicate clearly with customers about their vehicle’s issues and repair options.
    • Provide estimates for repairs and answer any questions about services.
  6. Shop Operations:

    • Keep the work area clean, organized, and compliant with safety standards.
    • Collaborate with team members to ensure efficient workflow and high-quality service.

Qualifications:

  • High school diploma or equivalent.
  • Certification from a vocational school or completion of an apprenticeship program is a plus.
  • ASE (Automotive Service Excellence) certification preferred.
  • Proven experience as a mechanic or in a related automotive role.
  • Strong knowledge of automotive systems, tools, and repair techniques.
  • Ability to use diagnostic equipment and interpret results.
  • Excellent problem-solving skills and attention to detail.
  • Valid driver’s license and clean driving record.

Work Environment:
