Classification: MAINTENANCE WORKER, DEPARTMENT OF THE CALIF. HIGHWAY PATROL
Performs janitorial tasks and routine and preventative maintenance such as maintaining overall cleanliness of the Area facility. Maintains supply of all items and materials needed to perform the duties of this position. Assists in moving and arranging furniture and equipment as required. Cleans exterior of all buildings on the property, including walkways and performs general grounds maintenance duties; maintains the parking lot and ensures the facility and surrounding grounds are kept neat, clean, and in good repair to reflect favorably upon the Department. Assists the Area Automotive Technician II, on a limited basis.

Qualifications
Special Requirements:
- The position(s) require(s) a valid California Drivers License (CDL). You must answer the questions addressing your CDL on your application. Ensure you provide your CDL number, class, expiration date, and any endorsements and/or restrictions.
- The position(s) require(s) a Background Investigation be cleared prior to being hired.
- The position(s) require(s) Medical Clearance prior to being hired.
- The CHP utilizes their own Maintenance Worker list. Applicants must meet the minimum qualifications for the Maintenance Worker classification in order to be eligible for appointment. In order to obtain list eligibility, please view the exam bulletin link and follow all instructions for submitting your application. In addition to applying for the exam, applicants MUST submit an application to this Job Control in order to be considered for the position.
