The Caltrans Sacramento Legal Office is looking for a well-qualified and highly motivated Office Technician (Typing) with interest and/or experience in supporting a team of attorneys and/or professional staff.
Under the supervision of the Supervisor I, or Supervisor II, the incumbent will act as the Legal Division Mail Clerk/Receptionist and is responsible for the processing and distribution of all daily mail and checks, preparing packages for shipment, copying and scanning documents, data entry, mail room/reception functions, and claims and litigation support.
The Caltrans Sacramento Legal Office is one of five offices comprising the Caltrans Legal Division (Sacramento/HQ, Oakland, Los Angeles, Fresno and San Diego). All five offices work together as one Caltrans Legal Division.

Working Conditions
Position is located at 1120 N Street, Sacramento, Sacramento County
This is a Limited Term position which may be extended to 24 months or become permanent.
Multiple positions may be filled from this recruitment.
The incumbent will work in climate-controlled office under artificial light, however, building temperatures may fluctuate due to periodic temperature control problems.
