Job Description

We seek a highly motivated hands-on automation engineer in Low Voltage Test Automation group, a team focused on creating robust, data-centric production testing equipment for Tesla’s vehicle electronics and silicon development. This team develops automation using mechanical, electrical, software, and controls of reliable and cost-efficient capital equipment for suppliers and Tesla factories around the world. The Role

  • Design electronics for testers/fixtures automation in collaboration with test engineers, including digital logics, power conversion, signal conditioning, and microcontroller
  • Create, read, interpret, and diagnose schematics, wiring diagrams, and circuits
  • Support bring-up, validation, and development of new design
  • Investigate novel solutions to simplify testing automation
  • Provide remote and occasional on-site support for product deployment and updates
  • Manage multiple projects in parallel

Requirements

  • Interested in and/or experience as a hands-on embedded engineer with interests in electronics and or silicon testing
  • Experience working with and debugging common protocols (JTAG, SWD, SPI, UART, CAN, LIN, I2C, Ethernet, etc.)
  • Experience with digital and analog circuits design
  • Knowledge of Linux & shell scripting/automation
  • Ability to learn engineering concepts and innovate based on engineering first principle
