Rendering Engineer, Infotainment, Vehicle Software - Palo Alto [277464]

$120,000 - $396,000 yearly

Job Description

Shape the Cybercab UI and Redefine the Autonomous Vehicle Experience. Tesla is expanding its Infotainment Applications software engineering team to build the in-car user interfaces that will define the Cybercab and Full Self-Driving experience. You will create the primary interface millions of riders interact with—designing intuitive Cybercab passenger UIs, rich Autopilot/FSD visualizations, entertainment (media streaming and video games), and productivity applications (phone, calendar, browser). In a driverless vehicle, your work becomes the entire customer experience: how people summon, ride, relax, stay productive, and trust the autonomy stack.

We are looking for highly motivated graphics software engineers to create, develop, and evolve these next-generation in-vehicle experiences. This team’s software sits front and center of Tesla’s fleet, transforming the cabin from a traditional driver’s cockpit into a seamless, delightful autonomous environment. Come help us take the vehicle experience to the next level—crafting the interfaces that make Cybercab feel magical and accelerate the world’s transition

  • Work with a cross-functional team of hardware engineers, application/UI software engineers, QA/Validation, and designers

Requirements

  • Proficient in C and C++
  • Proficient in lighting models, anti-aliasing techniques, post-processing, and shaders
  • Proficient in OpenGL and OpenGLES 2 and 3. Experience with other rendering API's, such as Vulkan and Direct3D, is a plus
