Job Description

Tesla’s underlying vehicle subsystems are the foundation that supports the AI enabling autonomous driving and Robotaxi capabilities across the fleet. With every software release, the SysVal Go Test team validates all firmware changes to these systems before they reach the global fleet. As autonomy scales, delivering a consistently high-quality experience requires hands-on testing and the ability to troubleshoot both everyday scenarios and edge cases — this is where our Engineering Technicians come in. You’ll serve as the last line of defense, playing a direct role in shaping an awesome impression for Tesla owners and Robotaxi riders. If you have strong automotive knowledge and a passion for hands-on vehicle testing, this role is for you.

The Role

  • Test prototype firmware across varying existing and new vehicle platforms
  • Perform hands-on manual validation and end-to-end in-vehicle testing
  • Troubleshoot vehicle systems firmware issues using automotive and diagnostic approaches
  • Precisely document test cases, improvements, and troubleshooting steps in detail

Requirements

  • Strong QA and testing philosophy
  • Strong problem solving skills
  • Familiar with issue tracking software (i.e., JIRA)
  • Detail oriented, able to follow step-by-step instructions precisely
  • Proficiency in deconstructing and analyzing firmware capabilities from a customer's perspective to identify potential vulnerabilities
