Legal Billing Specialist

We are looking for a detail-oriented Legal Billing Specialist to support accurate invoicing and payment activity for a professional services firm in Sacramento, California. This role focuses on preparing billing documentation, maintaining reliable records, and helping ensure timely follow-up on outstanding balances. The ideal candidate is comfortable working with computerized billing platforms and can manage billing tasks with accuracy, organization, and professionalism.

Responsibilities:

• Prepare and issue client invoices with careful attention to accuracy, supporting documentation, and established billing schedules.

• Review account activity, reconcile billing information, and resolve discrepancies to maintain complete and reliable financial records.

• Monitor outstanding balances and follow up on overdue payments in a timely manner to support collection efforts.

• Generate and distribute billing statements, ensuring clients receive clear and timely account information.

• Enter, update, and maintain billing data within computerized billing systems to keep records current and audit-ready.

• Support legal billing processes by applying client-specific guidelines, matter details, and required formatting standards.

• Work with billing platforms such as TABS3 or Tymetrix to process invoices and address submission issues when needed.

Qualifications

• • Experience handling invoicing, account review, and routine billing support in an office setting that requires strong attention to detail
• • Knowledge of payment follow-up practices and account collection procedures
• • Ability to prepare billing statements accurately and maintain organized documentation
• • Proficiency using computerized billing systems and other standard office software
• • Familiarity with legal billing workflows and client billing guidelines
• • Experience working with TABS3/Tymetrix or a similar electronic billing platform
• • Strong attention to detail, time management, and written communication skills
