POSITION SUMMARY

The California Army National Guard is accepting applications for an Active Guard Reserve (AGR) Maintenance Control NCO position supporting the 1-160th Infantry Regiment.

The selected Soldier will work in the Battalion Headquarters S-4 Section in Inglewood, CA, performing daily logistics, supply, maintenance control, and equipment readiness duties.

Important: Although the position is administratively assigned to the 92A position at G Co, 40th BSB in Santa Ana, the physical work location is Inglewood, CA.


KEY RESPONSIBILITIES

  • Manage unit logistics and maintenance workflows using GCSS-Army.
  • Maintain equipment historical records and track scheduled services.
  • Process equipment dispatches and ensure only Fully Mission Capable (FMC) equipment is utilized.
  • Generate and present Equipment Status Reports (ESR) to Battalion leadership.
  • Manage maintenance work orders from creation through completion.
  • Control the Prescribed Load List (PLL) and shop stock.
  • Expedite repair parts to minimize equipment downtime.
  • Oversee receipt, storage, accountability, and secure issuance of OCIE and mission-essential supplies.
  • Manage unserviceable and recoverable items and coordinate timely turn-ins to the Supply Support Activity (SSA).
  • Maintain financial and property accountability.
  • Conduct inventory control of critical and sensitive items.
  • Identify and resolve inventory discrepancies.
  • Support daily Battalion S-4 logistics and supply requirements.

WHO MAY APPLY

Applicants must be current on-board California Army National Guard AGR members in the grade of E5.

Under-grade Soldiers may apply but will only be considered after all eligible applicants in the authorized grade have been considered and the corresponding EPS list has been exhausted.

MOS qualified (MOSQ) applicants are preferred. Non-DMOSQ applicants may submit for consideration but must include an NDMOSQ ETP endorsed by the Brigade with their lateral application.

  3. EPS Stabilization ETP, if applicable
  4. NDMOSQ ETP, if applicable
  5. Brigade Command Concurrence Email or MFR for CAARNG AGR Soldiers with less than three years in their current assignment

Additional initial-tour and EPS stabilization requirements may apply.


ADDITIONAL REQUIREMENTS

Applicants must:

  • Demonstrate a strong work ethic, professionalism, punctuality, and adherence to military standards.
  • Have no disqualifying disciplinary actions under the UCMJ or adverse criminal dispositions outlined in AR 601-210.
  • Possess working knowledge of automated office procedures and the technical aptitude to learn logistics and supply database systems.
  • Possess, or be able to obtain and maintain, a SECRET security clearance.
  • Possess a valid state driver's license.
  • Be capable of obtaining a military driver's license for organic tactical vehicles.

IMPORTANT ELIGIBILITY REQUIREMENT

This is an AGR lateral announcement. Applicants must currently be serving as a Title 32 Active Guard Reserve member of the California Army National Guard to apply.
