POSITION SUMMARY
The California Army National Guard is accepting applications for an Active Guard Reserve (AGR) Human Resources Sergeant position with HSC 340 BSB (-) in Seaside, California.
The Human Resources Sergeant serves within the Battalion S1 section, providing full-time personnel, medical readiness, training, and administrative support. This position works directly under the supervision of the Senior Human Resources Sergeant and supports overall unit and mobilization readiness.
KEY RESPONSIBILITIES
Provide personnel and administrative support within the Battalion S1.
Develop, administer, and monitor unit medical readiness.
Track PHA, dental, and medical deployability metrics.
Monitor Soldiers in medically non-deployable status and coordinate with state case managers, the Brigade Medical Liaison, and individual Soldiers.
Assist with unit training and mobilization readiness programs.
Support preparation of unit mobilization directives and regulations.
Gather required information for the Unit Status Report and assist with readiness reporting in accordance with AR 220-1.
Provide input for training schedules in Army Training Information System (ATIS) when required.
Provide guidance on the Line of Duty (LOD) process in accordance with AR 600-8-4 and local policy.
Provide personnel services involving pay, promotions, and individual Soldier status.
Advise Soldiers regarding military education requirements.
Prepare applications for Army service schools.
Attend required unit training assemblies, additional training assemblies, and annual training.
Support additional mission requirements as directed.
WHO MAY APPLY
Applicants must be current on-board California Army National Guard AGR members in the grade of E5.
Under-grade Soldiers may apply but will only be considered after all eligible applicants in the authorized grade have been considered and the corresponding EPS list has been exhausted.
Duty MOS qualified applicants are preferred. Non-DMOSQ applicants may be considered with the required NDMOSQ ETP endorsed by the Brigade.

ADDITIONAL REQUIREMENTS
Applicants should:
Have no disqualifying disciplinary actions or criminal offenses as outlined in applicable regulations.
Possess a valid state driver's license and be capable of operating military vehicles and equipment organic to the unit.
Have working knowledge of automated office procedures.
Possess the appropriate security clearance required for the grade, MOS, and AGR duty position.
Be available for potential last-minute travel, extended work hours, and weekend requirements based on mission needs.
