About Honey Homes
Honey Homes is a membership service that makes home upkeep effortless by pairing members with a dedicated handyperson and a simple app to coordinate everyday to-dos, maintenance, and repairs.
Our team is made up of passionate individuals who have made significant impact at companies such as DoorDash, Opendoor, Yelp, and PayPal. We're backed by Khosla Ventures, Pear.vc, and the co-founders of DoorDash, Lyft, and Opendoor.
About the Role
We're looking for a high-energy, curious, and relentlessly resourceful Recruiter to help us hire the exceptional handypeople who power our service across the country. This isn't a role for someone who wants to sit behind a screen and wait for applications to roll in. It's for someone who lights up at the challenge of finding great people, building the system to scale it, and using technology to make the whole thing faster and smarter.
You'll work directly with our National Operations Lead. You'll own one of the most important levers in the business from day one: getting the right people in the door, faster. And you'll use AI tools, including Claude, to automate, optimize, and continuously improve how we recruit.
No prior recruiting experience required. We're hiring for curiosity, energy, and the drive to build something great.
What You'll Own

Run a full-cycle recruiting process to hire 10+ handypeople per month nationally

Build and maintain a healthy, high-volume candidate pipeline through creative sourcing

Implement AI-powered screening and outreach tools to scale the funnel and reduce time-per-hire

Identify new sourcing channels and experiment relentlessly to find what works best for tradespeople

Own the candidate experience: fast, warm, and professional from first contact to first day
What You'll Do Day to Day

Source candidates and screen resumes across Indeed, Craigslist, and beyond

Keep candidates engaged and excited through every step of the process

Draft and maintain job postings; keep our ATS (Ashby) clean and accurate

Coordinate interviews, collect feedback, and keep hiring managers aligned

Build and run AI workflows with Claude to automate repetitive sourcing and screening tasks

Support offers and onboarding; close the loop on every person you bring in

We pair each household with a dedicated, fully employed, and vetted handyman who manages everything from minor upgrades to routine maintenance tasks—so you don’t have to. Our app assists by making scheduling and communication effortless, giving members peace of mind at every step.
We know your home is so much more than the four walls around you, and believe homeownership should be about making memories in a space you love. However, with home maintenance costs averaging over $6,500 per year and nearly 70% of homeowners feeling overwhelmed by upkeep, it’s clear the traditional model isn’t making this easy. We built Honey Homes to change that.
Our handymen are at the heart of Honey Homes. They are full-time W-2 employees, receiving health benefits, PTO, parental leave, and ongoing professional development. They are throughly vetted for both skill and customer service, and capable of handling a wide range of tasks. Each one only takes on a small group of members, giving them the ability to learn your home and provide the best level of care and guidance.
