🚨 NOW HIRING: Part-Time Instructor – Valley CAPS 🚨

Valley CAPS is looking for compassionate and motivated individuals to support adults with intellectual and developmental disabilities. This is a rewarding opportunity to make a direct impact while helping participants build independence and life skills.

📌 Position: Part-Time Instructor

Schedule: ~28 hours/week (Monday–Friday)
Location: Multiple sites (Modesto & surrounding areas)

💼 What You’ll Do:

• Lead group activities in classroom settings (art, cooking, math, fitness, life skills)
• Support participants in community-based activities (stores, parks, restaurants, etc.)
• Assist with personal care (hygiene, feeding, daily support)
• Develop and follow lesson plans based on individual needs
• Track participant progress and maintain accurate documentation
• Implement behavior support strategies and maintain a safe environment
• Work closely with team members and supervisors

✅ Qualifications:

• Passion for working with adults with disabilities
• Strong communication and teamwork skills
• Ability to stay calm in stressful situations
• Willingness to assist with personal care
• Flexible and adaptable mindset
• Must pass background check, drug test, and TB test
• Ability to lift up to 75 lbs
• CPR, First Aid, and Pro-ACT certification required (can be obtained after hire)

🕒 Schedule Details:

• Typically 5 days/week
• 4 days: ~5.5 hours/day
• 1 day: ~6 hours/day
• Shift times vary by location (morning to early afternoon)

💪 Physical Requirements:

• Standing, walking, and moving throughout the day
• Lifting, bending, and assisting participants as needed
