Under the general direction of the Office Building Manager IV (OBM IV), the Office Building Manager III serves as the Building Manager over the Joe Serna Jr Building/CalEPA HQ, and is responsible for directing and supervising a large staff engaged in the overall custodial operations and maintenance services for a 950,000 sq/ft building in a major metropolitan area of State-owned and occupied buildings and grounds in accordance with Facilities Management Division (FMD) policies and procedures. This position is responsible for the overall administration and maintenance of the Joe Serna Jr Building/CalEPA HQ, including management of customer service and the operational budget, and will plan and assign work of subordinate staff, and develop an overall master maintenance schedule.
