Job Summary – Radiologic Technologist

We are seeking a reliable and experienced Radiologic Technologist to provide diagnostic imaging services in a correctional healthcare setting. In this role, you will perform routine and urgent imaging exams while following established safety and imaging protocols. This position requires professionalism, attention to detail, and the ability to work effectively in a structured clinical environment.

The ideal candidate is patient‑focused, dependable, and comfortable working as part of a multidisciplinary healthcare team.

Responsibilities

• Perform diagnostic radiology exams as ordered
• Properly position patients for imaging procedures
• Ensure patient safety and comfort during exams
• Operate and maintain radiologic equipment
• Follow all imaging, radiation safety, and facility protocols
• Accurately document procedures and results
• Communicate effectively with healthcare staff
• Maintain a clean, organized, and safe work area
• Support daily clinical operations within a secure facility setting

Required Qualifications

• Active California Certified Radiologic Technologist (CRT) license
• Minimum 1 year of continuous Radiology Technician experience within the last 3 years
• Active American Heart Association (AHA) BLS Certification
• Three professional references
• Ability to perform routine and urgent imaging exams confidently
• Reliable, detail-oriented, and able to work independently 
• Ability to pass a background check/clearance requirements
• Comfort working in a secure correctional healthcare environment
• Strong communication skills and professionalism
• Must have been retired as a civil servant for a minimum of 1 year
