Position Summary

The Brigade S4 Officer serves as the principal staff officer responsible for coordinating and overseeing all logistics operations for the Combat Aviation Brigade. This position manages supply, maintenance, transportation, and services to ensure unit readiness and mission success.

Key Responsibilities

• Coordinate and integrate logistics operations across the brigade

• Oversee supply, maintenance, transportation, and services

• Monitor and analyze equipment availability, readiness, and sustainment

• Support acquisition and distribution of supplies and equipment

• Coordinate logistics support during training, mobilization, and operations

• Ensure compliance with Command Supply Discipline Program (CSDP)

• Support inspections including Organizational Inspection Program (OIP), Command Logistics Review Team (CLRT)

• Prepare logistics plans, briefings, and reports for command leadership

Minimum Appointment Requirements

• Current California Army National Guard Officer

• Eligible grades: O-2 – O-3

• Must qualify for AOC 90A

• SECRET security clearance

• Current Army Fitness Test (AFT) pass

• Meet Army height/weight and medical standards

• Must meet AGR eligibility requirements per AR 135-18

• No relief for cause from any duty position within the last 36 months

• Must meet medical retention standards per AR 40-501

• Completion of Basic Officer Leader Course (BOLC) required

• Captains must have completed Captains Career Course (CCC)
