As a Security Officer with Allied Universal, you will play a key role in helping to create a secure environment at a government location. In this patrol, unarmed position, you will monitor and patrol assigned areas, remaining highly visible to help to deter security-related incidents and foster a sense of peace for everyone onsite. Your responsibilities will include conducting routine patrols, responding to incidents as needed, and providing exceptional customer service through clear and professional communication with staff, visitors, and the public. What You’ll Do:

• Use our proprietary scheduling platform to claim open shifts at client sites
• Support operations across a range of environments including commercial real estate, healthcare, and education
• Receive site-specific training and guidance from experienced teams
• Deliver consistent, professional security presence and customer service
• Be ready to fill in at short notice when urgent needs arise

Responsibilities:

• Provide customer service to clients by carrying out security-related procedures, site-specific policies and/or emergency response activities as needed.
• Respond to incidents and critical situations in a calm, problem-solving manner.
• Conduct regular and random patrols around the location and its perimeter to help to deter unauthorized activity and identify potential issues.
• Observe and report any suspicious behaviors, hazards, or incidents according to Allied Universal protocols.
• Maintain a visible presence to help to deter unwanted activity within the government facility.
• Complete daily activity reports and incident reports as required by site procedures.
• Work collaboratively with site personnel and local authorities when necessary to address incidents or emergencies.

Minimum Requirements:

• At least 6 months of security-related experience is required.
• Be at least 18 years of age for unarmed roles; 21+ years of age for armed roles.
• Possess a high school diploma or equivalent.
• As a condition of employment, applicants will be subject to a background investigation in accordance with all federal, state, and local laws.
• Allied Universal will consider qualified applications with criminal histories in a manner consistent with applicable laws.
• As a condition of employment, applicants will be subject to a drug screen to the extent permitted by law.
• Licensing requirements are subject to state and/or local laws and regulations and may be required prior to employment.
• A valid driver’s license will be required for driving positions only.
