About the Position
The current vacancy is a limited-term, full-time
Community Services Oicer position that is
grant-funded through the Proposition 64 Public
Health and Safety Grant. The position supports
the creation and operation of a Police Activities
League (PAL) program and is expected to be
funded through June 30, 2028, with employment
continuing through the duration of the grant.
Ideal Candidate
The ideal candidate for the Community Services
Oicer position is community-oriented and
passionate about public service, especially youth
engagement through programs like the Police
Activities League (PAL). In this non-sworn role,
the candidate will provide technical and
administrative support to the Police Department,
including duties such as parking enforcement,
responding to non-emergency calls, taking
reports, fingerprinting, and assisting with
narcotic and sex oender registrations—all while
building positive relationships and promoting
community safety.

Minimum Qualifications
High School Diploma or equivalent.
Possession of a valid California Class C
driver license.
Community Services Oicer I: One year of
work experience that demonstrates a
general aptitude for working with the
public in a multi-task environment.
Community Services Oicer II: Two years
of responsible law enforcement work
experience comparable to a Community
Services Oicer I with the City of Suisun
City.
