A Plumber does skilled work in the layout, installation, repair, and maintenance of sanitary and industrial plumbing systems, process piping, and fuel dispensing systems, including air, gas, water, industrial waste, gasoline, oil pipelines, and irrigation systems. REQUIREMENT(S)/MINIMUM QUALIFICATION(S) Completion of a recognized five-year apprenticeship as a plumber;  or A valid journey-level plumber license issued by the Los Angeles City Department of Building and Safety;  or Six years of full-time paid experience as a helper to a Plumber with the City of Los Angeles. Completion of a plumbing program at an accredited institution may be substituted for each year of experience lacking up to a maximum of two years. ANNUAL SALARY $118,013 (flat-rated) A 5.5% bonus is paid for possessing an FAA Inspection Authorization. Some positions require night work, for which a higher salary is paid.   A Helicopter Mechanic inspects, repairs, overhauls, services, cleans and returns all City-owned helicopters to service.   NOTE :   Helicopter Mechanics must be available to work weekends and holidays. REQUIREMENT(S)/MINIMUM QUALIFICATION(S) Three years of full-time paid experience, two years of which must have been within the past three years, as an FAA Certified Airframe and Power Plant Mechanic engaged in performing maintenance and alterations on at least one or more of the following turbine powered helicopters: Bell 407, Bell 206 series, Bell 412, Eurocopter AS 350 Series (EC130), and/or Agusta AW 139.
