CLASS TITLE: INSTRUCTIONAL ASSISTANT II BASIC FUNCTION: Under the direction of an assigned administrator, provide health services for special education students and assist a certificated teacher in reinforcing instruction to individual or small groups of special education students and general education students; assist in providing learning activities and meeting the special needs of assigned special education students in areas related to behavior intervention, feeding, toileting, positioning, hygiene, motor skill, sensory and physical therapy functions; monitor health conditions, provide first aid and administer medications.
