The mission of the USC Suzanne Dworak-Peck School of Social Work is to improve the well-being of vulnerable individuals and communities, advance social and economic justice, and address pressing societal problems in complex and culturally diverse urban environments throughout Southern California, the nation, and the world. This mission is advanced through experiential, practice-based, and competency-based learning, culturally responsive training, research, and the application of evidence-informed practices. The Greater Los Angeles Homeless Count is conducted through a partnership between the USC Suzanne Dworak-Peck School of Social Work and the Los Angeles Homeless Services Authority (LAHSA). The Demographic Survey component of the Homeless Count collects information from people experiencing homelessness throughout Los Angeles County.
