BASIC FUNCTION: Under supervision of the site administrator and general direction of the babysitter coordinator, maintain  safety   and supervise the play activities  of children  (ages 1 to 5 years old) while their parents participate in the  ESL Family Literacy Classes offered by Oakland Adult and Career Education. Parents will remain on-site at all times and are primarily responsible for their children. This position is temporary and on an "as-needed" basis. Babysitters (Temporary-Staff) will perform duties at a variety of different locations within Oakland Unified School District. Because the need for childcare will fluctuate with parents' enrollment in Adult Career and Education Courses, this position will have an irregular schedule. Basic Function Under general direction of the Vice President for Finance and Administration, the Chief of Police plans, directs, manages, and oversees the activities and operations of the Bakersfield College Police and College Safety Department at each campus location, including supervision of including sworn and non-sworn personnel, communications dispatch, parking program services, and emergency preparedness programs. The Chief provides leadership in emergency management, including planning, training, exercise, and regulatory compliance.
