DISTINGUISHING CHARACTERISTICS This is an advanced journey-level classification. The Registered Veterinary Technician classification is primarily distinguished from the Animal Care Technician by its responsibility for assisting licensed Veterinarians in providing medical and surgical pre-operative and post-operative procedures to animals.
