The Groundskeeper supports various campus customers and is responsible for caring for, maintaining, and preserving the plants, shrubs, trees, hedges, flowers, lawns, and fields on the hard and soft landscape of the campus grounds. The Groundskeeper waters various areas by hand or manual operation of the irrigation systems and performs minor repairs of systems. Under the direction of the Facilities Services Custodial Supervisor, the Sr. Custodian performs a variety of custodial/housekeeping tasks to care, maintain, disinfect, sanitize, and preserve campus facilities. The Sr. Custodian is responsible for the upkeep of their assigned building(s) to ensure a safe and clean environment for staff and students to enjoy. The Sr. Custodian may work independently or as a part of a team in assigned work areas in a fast paced environment with project deadlines and close turnarounds while maintaining a positive attitude. The Sr. Custodian uses their own initiative and proactively addresses daily tasks to maintain a clean environment.
