Job Summary The Packaging Operator I's responsibilities include production driving (taking pallets from off the line and staging), scrap hauling (making sure all process waste is disposed of properly/supplies raw mats), and pad driving for the production lines (taking pallets to the pad). Other responsibilities include safely operating controls (machinery) to enable stacking/bundling of shingles to be wrapped. Bundles that are being conveyed to the wrapper must meet quality minimum standards. Understanding controls to run machinery to best practice settings is critical to meet efficiency targets. Heavy communication with process end operators relating to product opportunities is vital.
