Improve customer experience of Tesla vehicles by improving field reliability of Autopilot hardware. Own failure analysis, root cause, containment and corrective action for Autopilot HW across all vehicle lines while maintaining a close partnership with Autopilot HW, SW, FW, systems integration, sensing, supplier industrialization and related engineering teams. This is a highly hands onhands-on individual contributor role, involving . primarily bench and lab work, with supporting fleet and service data analysis. You own the subsystem end to end, from first failure through validated countermeasures.
The Role
Investigate field failures on the Autopilot Hardware PCBA (SoC, memory, Ethernet, IMU, power and related ICs) across all vehicle platforms
Use lab and board tools to isolate issues on Autopilot PCBAs with oscilloscopes, X ray, CT, thermal imaging and CAN/kernel/SoC logs
