LATERAL INCENTIVE PROGRAM – $40,000 SIGNING BONUS($20,000 PAID WHEN SWORN IN AND THE BALANCE PAID AT THE SUCCESSFUL COMPLETION OF PROBATION)
Upon Completion of a Probationary Period, Officers shall receive:
$20,000 upon completion of the probationary period;
Service credit for years of active employment as a Police Officer on a year for year basis up to a maximum of ten years;
Lump-sum credit of sick and vacation accrual equal to what would have been accrued in 12 months based on the years of total service calculated according to the current leave accrual schedules;
A one-time credit of forty (40) hours of compensatory time.
