The full salary range for the Building Equipment Mechanic is $43.86 - $49.38 per hour. However, the expected pay scale for this position is up to $45.60 per hour. We base salary offers on a variety of considerations, such as education, licensure and certifications, experience, and other business and organizational needs. Reporting to UCR Facilities Building Mechanical/ HVAC Supervisor, the Building Equipment Mechanic position performs journey-level work related to the repair, maintenance, service, installation, modification, troubleshooting, inspection and monitoring of commercial/industrial building mechanical equipment, climate control systems, heating and ventilation systems, fume hoods, hydronic systems, heat exchangers, fans and fan motors, pumps and pump motors, electronic controls and pneumatic controls.
