Overview:
Repairs and upgrades forklift trucks and transportation vehicles by listening to operator’s description of malfunctions, conducting tests, identifying problems and finding resolutions. Submit purchase order request for parts. Maintains a safe work environment by verifying vehicle safety device operation, following standards and procedures. Performs other duties as assigned. Maintains forklift truck and vehicle serviceability by completing preventive maintenance requirements and repairs to include hydraulics systems, electrical systems, and drive train overhauling. Diagnosing the source of trouble and determining the extent of repairs required; replacing worn or broken parts such as piston rings, bearings, or other engine parts; grinding and adjusting valves; rebuilding carburetors; overhauling transmissions; and repairing fuel injection, lighting, and ignition systems.
