Essential Functions of Position GENERAL PURPOSE Under general direction of the Dean, plans, organizes, manages and evaluates the Police Academy program, including delivery of instruction for Peace Officer Standards and Training (POST), Standards and Training for Corrections (STC) and Institute for Criminal Investigations (ICI) courses; oversees and assists with program, curriculum and class schedule development for myriad basic through advanced courses; assigns and approves professional development; assists the Dean in faculty evaluation and tenure processes; promotes and represents the Police Academy with other campus departments and community partners; develops partnerships with external law enforcement agencies and implements/ manages Instructional Service Agreements (ISA) with agency partners; maintains accreditation and program qualification standards; ensures academy program functions comply with all applicable District, local, state and federal codes/regulations; and...
