Mechanic performs mechanical maintenance and repairs; and/or performs welder and irrigation functions. Makes working adjustments and minor maintenance and repairs and may operate heavier equipment and a variety of other cemetery tasks as assigned.
ESSENTIAL FUNCTION
Because all Archdiocesan employees represent the Roman Catholic Church, they are expected to conduct themselves according to the goals and mission of the Church in performing their work.
Renders preventative maintenance to cemetery vehicles and machinery on scheduled basis; repairs vehicles and equipment as necessary.
Maintains tools and mechanical equipment in good order and ensures their security.
May install and maintain irrigation system(s) according to specifications.
Repairs main water lines, sprinkler system clocks, fencing and does other heavy repairs.
