Golf Teaching Professional

Job Description

Silverado Resort is seeking a full-time Golf Teaching Professional for a fast-paced, hospitality-focused property. The role focuses on delivering golf instruction, coaching, club fitting, and supporting instructional programming for a variety of golfer segments.

  • Work closely with the Head Golf Professional and Director of Club Operations to plan and develop instruction programs for all golfer segments in the surrounding market
  • Provide golf instruction to private students and group participants as demand dictates
  • Provide teaching and coaching for Junior Academy, adult classes, and other Learning Center activities
  • Teach summer camps as needed
  • Provide training and development to other instructors as directed
  • Assist in the supervision and upkeep of the practice facilities to ensure safe, clean, organized, and professional conditions
  • Assist with junior golfer progress reports, adult practice and play sessions, corporate clinics, off-property special events, and on-course events
  • Assist with Learning Center administrative assignments such as student activity tracking and marketing
  • Help keep all teaching aids and instruction inventory in excellent condition
  • Utilize teaching and learning theories and integrate training aids, video, and club fitting into instructional programs as needed
  • Participate in administrative duties to ensure smooth operation of the golf instruction program
  • Perform some opening and closing duties of the instruction program as directed
  • Represent the facility in the community and with local businesses through promotional activities and programs

Qualifications

  • PGA/LPGA Class A Member or PGA/LPGA Associate working towards membership
  • Minimum 1 year of related experience in golf instruction and club-fitting techniques
  • Teaching and coaching experience in all aspects of the game of golf
  • Experience with video analysis preferred
  • Exceptional communication skills
  • Highly polished interpersonal skills, with the ability to connect with people easily and quickly
  • Extremely organized, efficient, and detail-oriented
  • Highly motivated, goal driven, and a self-starter
  • Knowledge of the local market is a plus
