Montecito Memorial Park and Mortuary date back to 1925, when the visionary Hinze family founded the funeral home and cemetery. Though the word Montecito means “little mountain," which was a perfect depiction of the property when it originally opened, Montecito Memorial Park is today an outstanding landmark occupying more than 100 acres in both Colton, California, and Loma Linda, California.
Together, the Montecito Memorial Park and Mortuary locations allow you to take care of all your funeral and cemetery arrangements. Both the funeral home and cemetery are non-denominational. All cultures and faiths are welcome, and we will work with you to incorporate your own traditions into a funeral or memorial service.

Montecito Memorial Park is the resting spot of many of our nation’s veterans. The Garden of Valor is reserved for veterans and has a veterans monument. The team at Montecito Mortuary is well-versed in military funerals with honors and has worked with all branches of the military for funeral services that uphold the traditions of each branch. We participate in the Homeless Veterans Burial Program, teaming up with local and national veterans organizations to ensure that all members of the military receive a dignified memorial, regardless of their financial status.
Our property spans 2 cities and we are happy to be involved in both Loma Linda and Colton. We host a yearly Mother’s Day celebration. For Veterans Day, we invite local veterans groups and select a veteran to be honored with a plaque. We also host a yearly appreciation luncheon for firefighters, police and paramedics. Every Halloween we throw a Mansion Masquerade for the Boys & Girls Club, and we hold a candlelight service around the holidays. We are members of Redlands Rotary.
