Basic Job Description: Diagnose, inspect, adjust, repair, or overhaul recreational vehicles including travel trailers. May specialize in maintaining gas, electrical, hydraulic, plumbing, or chassis/towing systems as well as repairing generators, appliances, and interior components. Skills Needed for: "Recreational Vehicle Service Technician" 1) Installation -- Installing equipment, machines, wiring, or programs to meet specifications. 2) Troubleshooting -- Determining causes of operating errors and deciding what to do about it. 3) Repairing -- Repairing machines or systems using the needed tools. 4) Equipment Selection -- Determining the kind of tools and equipment needed to do a job. 5) Reading Comprehension -- Understanding written sentences and paragraphs in work related documents. 6) Quality Control Analysis -- Conducting tests and inspections of products, services, or processes to evaluate quality or performance. 7) Operation and Control -- Controlling operations of equipment or systems. 8) Equipment Maintenance -- Performing routine maintenance on equipment and determining when and what kind of maintenance is needed. 9) Active Listening -- Giving full attention to what other people are saying, taking time to understand the points being made, asking questions as appropriate, and not interrupting at inappropriate times. Certified or not, we will train.
