The City of Selma is a growing and thriving full-service municipal agency serving a population of over 25,000.  The police department is staffed with 39 sworn and 13 non-sworn positions.

The Selma Police Department employees are committed to serving the community in a professional manner which promotes community involvement and remains sensitive to the needs of its citizens.  As we continue to grow, so do the challenges we face as a community, and the Selma Police Department is committed to working with all of our citizens in meeting those challenges.

I am committed, personally, to ensuring the Selma Police Department will provide professional service to and improving the quality of life of the members of our community, focusing on utilizing today's modern technology to assist in optimizing the use of our resources.

To accomplish our tasks, we need the help and support of the citizens of this great community. We encourage the citizens of Selma to get involved in our community by volunteering their time and skills with the various programs that are offered through the City of Selma and the Selma Police Department.
