The National Veterans Foundation (NVF), established in 1985, provides wide-ranging assistance to military veterans and families, of all services and eras, including active-duty members, via a nationwide toll-free crisis hotline. Trained NVF counselors, who are veterans themselves, assist callers with immediate and long-term needs including VA medical services, PTSD counseling, VA disability and benefits advocacy, food, shelter, employment, training, legal aid, suicide intervention, and more.
