Work for Warriors and the State of Nevada's Department of Public Safety (DPS) have partnered to host an expedited testing process on April 29th, 2019. The event provides an opportunity to Service Members, Veterans and their families an expedited hiring process to  become a Law Enforcement Officer with Nevada Highway Patrol (NHP) or with Nevada's Parole & Probation (P&P). The program has been successful in getting applicants into Nevada's Department of Public Safety. The Work for Warriors NV Employment Program offers review session to ensure the highest possibility of completing the hiring process successfully. If you are interested in becoming a Law Enforcement Officer with Nevada DPS please review the information below. Notes   There are only 12 vacancies available for this testing event There are vacancies throughout the State of Nevada The all-day testing event will be held in Las Vegas, NV on April 29th, 2019 Specific location will be provided once applicant has applied No travel arrangements or compensation is allotted  The testing will encompass: Pre- Screening Physical Agility exam which consists of a vertical jump of 11.5 inches, Agility Run in 23.4 seconds; 24 sit-ups in 1 minute; 18 push-ups (not timed); a 300 meter-run in 82 seconds; a 1.5 mile run in 20 minutes and 20 seconds. State of Nevada's Public Safety Written Exam (requires a score of 60 out of 110 to pass) Panel Oral Board (essay portion and panel require a total of 105 out of 150 points to pass) A review session is required prior to testing (once applied, review dates will be sent out) Review session will cover every part of the application process Must be over 21 years of age by the time the academy starts Must not have any felony convictions or Domestic Violence convictions Graduation from high school or equivalent education and two years of military service or public contact experience which included problem solving and applying policies to specific situations Below is the list of required documents needed ON TESTING DAY (not required to apply but must have applicable documents on testing day): Original Birth Certificate DD-214 (Provides 5 Veteran Preference Points) Valid Driver's License Official High School Transcripts Official College Transcripts (Associates Degree or 60 credits provides 5 Education Points, Bachelors Degree provides 10 Education Points) WORK FOR WARRIORS DOES NOT GUARANTEE EMPLOYMENT  For more information please email
