As the Field Service Engineer III, you will work as part of a team providing surveillance and computer system modernization at DoD installations worldwide. You will lead a team of technicians to replace and modernize IT systems at U.S. Army installations world-wide. As the Field Service Engineer III, you will perform the following typical tasks: Conduct surveys to establish/verify installation details Ensure that equipment is received and uplifted at the installation site -Install and troubleshoot software products/equipment -Oversee removal of legacy equipment and cabling Manage and report field changes and installation progress Ensure that system acceptance criteria are met, and systems accepted by customer Provide training to customer Tier 1 personnel and end users Train employees, identify, analyze, and repair product failures, order and replace parts as needed Perform quality inspections on work performed by the installation team Determine and recommend which products or services best fit the customers' needs Understand termination of Cat 5e/6 using T568B color code standard As the Field Service Engineer III, you will be familiar with a variety of the field's concepts, practices, and procedures and you will rely on your experience and judgment to plan and accomplish goals. You will lead and direct the work of others and typically you will report to a manager or head of a unit/department. Qualifications Qualifications and Requirements: A bachelor's degree (or equivalent work experience) and 5 to 7 years of experience as a Field Service Engineer. Work can be completed remotely, involves extensive travel, and may require after normal duty hours This position supports a U.S. Government Contract whose terms require Serco to staff it only with U.S. Citizens Must be able to pass a Employee Background Investigation (EBI) Must be able to pass a 5 Panel Drug Test Experience with installation of video surveillance systems, video surveillance management systems, Windows server and Windows 10 operating systems, and Internet Protocol networking is highly desirable Preferred Experience: 1 to 2 years of Experience Traveling for work Secret Clearance We welcome all our team members that like to travel for work while supporting our Customer.
