The responsibilities of this position include, but are not limited to:
+ Interprets and records data, conducts analyses, compares findings to relevant studies and local, state, and federal regulations to obtain project objectives.
+ Conducts analysis and investigation work obtained from a variety of sources.
+ Perform or manage soil, soil gas, and groundwater investigations
+ Subcontractor procurement and management/ oversight
+ Interpret and record data, conduct analyses, compare findings to relevant studies and local, state and federal regulations
+ Prepare high-quality technical reports and environmental permit application packages
+ Works under general direction. Independently determines and develops approach to solutions.
+ Assist Project Managers to develop work plans and overall coordination of a variety of project management tasks related to new and on-going projects
+ Perform business development activities such as arranging logistics and meetings with potential clients, participate in presentations and interviews, and network with clients and regulatory agencies
+ Prepare cost estimates and scopes of services and assist writing proposals for new environmental and remediation opportunities
+ Lead project quality, health and safety, and environmental compliance on assignments
+ Participates in planning and task manages to achieve desired objectives.
+ Requires general familiarity within a broad field of scientific knowledge of reciprocal effects of the work upon other disciplines/fields.
+ Bachelors of Science degree or higher in environmental science, or relevant science discipline (e.g., environmental engineering, geology, hydrogeology,)
+ 4+years of environmental management such as environmental site assessments and remediation or demonstrated equivalencyof education and experience.
+ Must be able to work in the field and in an Office
+ Willingness and availability to travel occasionally
+ Must possess a valid driver license
+ Knowledge of environment investigation, remediation, and monitoring methods, procedures and protocols
+ Knowledge of City of Los Angeles, Los Angeles County and State of California site characterization and remediation regulatory requirements
40-hour OSHA HAZWOPER certification
M.S. Degree in Environmental Science or related field.
