The engineering-construction team is looking for a staff assistant who is a detail-oriented, a self-starter, experienced in process improvement and document management. Exceptional customer service skills and a team player a must.
Under general supervision, serves as a staff assistant and independently performs complex and specialized technical administrative duties required in connection with division or department operations, functions and work processes; and performs related duties as assigned.
Education, Training and Experience:
Graduation from high school or G.E.D. equivalent; and five years of increasingly responsible technical or administrative support experience. Time served as a District Intern counts towards the years of experience.
Licenses; Certificates; Special Requirements:
A valid Notary Public license issued by the State of California may be required for certain assignments.
A current, valid California Class C driver's license at time of appointment and maintained at all times thereafter in order to operate a vehicle on District business.
If assigned to perform work at any of the District's Harbor Police facilities you must be able to pass a background investigation that includes, but is not limited to a polygraph examination.
