DUTIES AND RESPONSIBILITIES:
Manages the marketing and promotion programs for the Services Squadron's business and recreational activities, to include the development and implementation of marketing strategies and supervising marketing personnel. Edits the Travis Quality of Life Magazine by leading monthly brainstorm meetings to determine content, market research, customer surveys, design layout and overall proofing schedule. Develops surveys and performs marketing analysis to identify needs and wants of varied audience. Develops and recommends marketing and publicity plans, policies, procedures, strategies and programs using established management principles and pertinent regulations. Responsible for consistent cross-marketing strategy including monthly strategic posters, rounder cards, electronic newsletter and television slides. Provides advertising media and implements promotional programs for the Force Support Squadron' activities. Designed and maintains the Force Support Squadron web strategy including design, layout, content, Facebook, Twitter etc. Serves as the commercial sponsorship program focal point for all unsolicited and solicited commercial sponsorship ventures. Serves as the Community marketing liaison including monthly community events to meet customers face-to-face, offer prizes and get customer contact information for future promotions. Designs and executes quarterly wing event, Welcome Home Warriors. Develops annual budget and resource requirements to meet program objectives. Provides public affairs and public relations services for the Services Squadron and other base agencies. Performs first level supervisory personnel management responsibilities. Performs other related duties as assigned.
Knowledge of merchandising and marketing policies, procedures, methods and publicity techniques. Knowledge of market research methods and techniques. Ability to recognize and define problem areas, apply marketing research techniques and analyze information for presentation to management. Ability to communicate effectively, both orally and in writing, using a high degree of tat and diplomacy, to prepare and present surveys, reports, proposal and press releases. Ability to supervise employees. This is a position of trust. Must obtain a favorable National Agency Check with Inquiries (NACI).
