Job Description:

  • Process vendor invoices for payment this includes assigning general ledger codes.
  • Review all invoices for appropriate documentation and approval prior to payment
  • Prioritize invoices according to cash discount and payment terms
  • Process check requests
  • Assists with day-to-day, monthly and year-end files and reconciling accounts. 
  • Audit, and process credit card bills, this includes assigning general ledger codes
  • Match invoices to checks, obtain signature for checks, and process for mailing 
  • Respond to vendor inquiries
  • Reconcile vendor statements, research and correct discrepancies
  • 1099 maintenance
  • Maintain files for unpaid and paid vendor invoice files.
  • Prepare daily bank deposits
  • Perform reconciliations, including but not limited to bank statements, capital assets, and prepaid expenses
  • Code all credit card statement transactions, multiple cards, alert manager of due dates
  • assist in month end closing and preparation of financial reports
  • Prepare bank deposits 
  • Open, sort, and distribute mail    

Job Requirements:

  • 2 years’ experience in accounts payable with the ability to perform some accounting functions
  • 40 hours per week
  • Excellent organization skills with the ability to prioritize and multitask, ability to meet deadlines, and due dates.
  • Must have intermediate computer skills including the ability to utilize Microsoft Office Products 
  • Know how to use QuickBooks (preferred)
  • Touch Typing desired
  • Must maintain the ability and desire to be dependable, flexible, and self-motivated.
  • Good attendance and punctuality is critical
