The Armed Security Officer for Diligence Security Group executes all tasks related to maintaining standards in compliance with the Standard Operating Procedures by performing the following duties:

Position Duties:


• Responds to unusual or emergency situations at client’s site using the appropriate escalation of force level up to and including armed response by following established protocol.


• Maintains proficiency in the use of all assigned protective equipment, restraint devices and weapons.


Controls access to client site or facility through the admittance process; precludes unauthorized access to facilities, and the conversion, theft or intentional destruction of physical assets.


• Responds to incidents of fire, medical emergency, bomb threat, flooding, water discharge, elevator emergency, hazardous materials, inclement weather, and other incidents.


• Monitors entrances and exits; acts to prevent unapproved or unlawful entry;

controls entrances, the movement of people and vehicles, and parking.


• Has a working knowledge and understanding of the Specific and General Post instructions for all Branch posts; has practical knowledge of all additional and emergency post instructions that are called for by the client.


• Observes and reports activities and incidents, providing for the security and safety of client property and personnel.


• Preserves order and acts to enforce regulations and directives for the site pertaining to personnel, visitors, and premises.


• Patrols assigned site on foot or in vehicle; checks for unsafe conditions, hazards, unlocked doors, security violations.


• Examines doors, windows, and gates of assigned posts to determine that they are secure.

• Makes periodic tours to check for irregularities and to inspect protection devices and fire control equipment.


• Informs the Site/Field Supervisor of matters/issues that cannot wait until the next workday.

• Warns violators of rule infractions, such as loitering, smoking, or carrying forbidden articles, and expel persons engaging in suspicious or criminal acts.


• Prepares logs and reports as required.


• Other duties may be assigned.


The Ideal Candidate has the following qualifications:


Education/ Experience:


• Valid State Driver’s License.
• Valid State Security Guard Card License.
• Valid State Fire-Arm License.
• Microsoft Office software and working knowledge of Internet programs.
• Valid CPR/AED/First Aid Certification, preferred.
• Prior Military or Law Enforcement experience, a plus.
• Associate's degree or higher in any discipline, a plus.


Skills & Competencies:


• Passion for providing top level security service
• Strong ability to effectively de-escalate situations
• Effective oral and written communication skills
• Fluent in English (written and verbal). Additional languages a plus.
• Ability to assess and evaluate situations effectively
• Ability to identify critical issues quickly and accurately
• Well-groomed and sharply dressed in uniform.
• Active listening skills

Physical Demands:


• Ability to remain in a stationary position, often standing or sitting for prolonged periods.

•Ability to move for prolonged periods to inspect site area(s).


• Ability to position self to inspect site areas that may require bending, crouching, climbing, or kneeling.

•Ability to move or adjust objects weighing up to 100 pounds.


• Ability to ascend or descend ladders, stairs, scaffolding, ramps, poles, etc.


• Ability to safely operate machinery, such as motor vehicles, heavy equipment, or other types of vehicles.

•Must be able to constantly work in outdoor weather conditions: low temperatures, high temperatures, outdoor elements, noisy environments, enclosed spaces, etc.
