Job Summary

AECOM’s Americas Real Estate Services (ARES), is the internal corporate real estate department of AECOM. ARES leads portfolio management and reporting, transaction management, lease administration, construction and project management, workplace and facilities management, and general real estate processes and policy for approximately 8.2M square feet of mostly leased office space. AECOM is looking for a dynamic Summer Intern to support the Program Management Office (PMO), which oversees the tenant improvement construction program, focused on implementing a new, agile workplace strategy across the portfolio.

The ARES team is located in the Downtown Los Angeles, CA office.

During the Intern Program, Interns will develop technical, professional and personal skills, involvement in vital business processes and projects, networking and mentoring relationships within AECOM.

Responsibilities Include:

  • Analyzing detailed project-specific and financial information

  • Assisting with the ongoing business operations activities for assigned sector, including project planning, project setup, and project execution

  • Preparing deliverables for management in both Excel and PowerPoint

  • Developing internal communications and delivering sections of research presentations

  • Develop reports and presentations for key work streams

  • Contributing to team discussions

  • Perform ad-hoc strategic and financial analyses and research assignments

Minimum Requirements

To be successful in this role we would like to hear from candidates with the following;

  • Current junior year undergraduate student

  • Strong interest in the design, engineering, construction industry

  • Strong record of academic achievement (minimum 3.0 cumulative GPA)

  • Prior experience or academic coursework in accounting, business, economics, finance, or statistics

  • Leadership role in college extra-curricular activities

  • Outstanding oral communication, written and presentation skills

  • Demonstrated analytical approach to problem solving and high attention to detail

  • Ability to be resourceful and work independently as well as within a team

Preferred Qualifications

  • Candidates local to Los Angeles preferred
