SUMMARY OF POSITION
Performs any combination of the following tasks in and about the production environment.
Application of Safety principles and processes.
Ability to read production drawings or blueprints and tape measure
Visual inspection of all exterior surface components; including finishes and textures.
Inspection of panel dimensions inserts and embeds.
Timely and accurately record Inspection data, including non-standard issues utilizing designated electronic tools and programs; including BIM 360 and Piece tracker
Communication (verbal and electronic) to Engineering and Production teams of inspection and defect results
Tracking progress of non-standard issue resolutions and re-inspect at various stages.
Complete final inspection of panels prior to plant departure
Communication to engineering and production teams of inspection and testing results.
Track progress of issue/defect resolutions and re-inspect at various stages.
Inspect assembly fabrication and placement of designated reinforcement materials, i.e. length, width, and size.
Perform standardized concrete test including but not limited to; cylinder breaks, grout breaks, concrete sampling, concrete temperature, concrete until weight, concrete density, fine/coarse aggregate sieve analysis, cement set test, fine/coarse aggregate moisture analysis, T-20 test, rebound hammer test, Windsor probe test, concrete air content, concrete slump test, j-ring test, color card verifications.
Maintain, monitor and report data from the sure cure system
Perform insert and miscellaneous metals inspection and standardized testing
Adhere to appropriate testing techniques and environment to ensure ACI, PCI and IAS compliance
Communicate with management schedule, manpower and equipment needs
Kind and length of experience:
0 -2 years in concrete, construction, manufacturing, inspection or other related fields
Ability to use technology, driven by Inspection Data program needs. Must have basic operation use of computers, I-pads, and data input functions.
Specialized Knowledge (preferred)
ACI Certification, Grade 1
ACI Aggregate Testing Tech, Grade 1
ACI Strength Testing Tech, Grade 1
ACI laboratory Testing, Level 1 or 2
Minimum Knowledge/education/certification/license requirements:
Must be 18 years or older
Physical Requirements (i.e., extended periods of sitting, bending, stooping, standing, walking or driving; frequency of lifting or carrying heavy objects - note required weight; required communication skills - verbal/auditory):
Ability to sit, stand, walk, stoop, kneel, crouch and crawl throughout shift and/or long periods of time
Ability to climb up to 15 feet, and maintain balance.
Manual dexterity, eye-hand coordination and ability to meet physical requirements.
Must be able to frequently lift up to 50lbs
Vision abilities including close vision, distance vision, peripheral vision, depth perception and ability to adjust focus.
Ability to utilize hearing protection and maintain required communication.
Must be able to read and speak basic English
Environmental Factors (e.g., ability to work in extreme heat/cold, ability to work at heights over 15 feet, ability to work 3rd shift, travel, ability to work weekends/on-call).
Able to work safely on/around moving mechanical parts
Exposure to outside weather conditions, extreme cold and extreme heat, wet and/or humid condition, fumes airborne particles and vibration.
Noise level is usually moderate to loud
Shift times and overtime may vary depending on work levels and processes.
