JOB RESPONSIBILITIES : The Security Guard/Officer will monitor activities and incidents at an assigned client site, providing for the security and safety of client property and personnel. Prohibit unauthorized access to facilities being secured; prevent theft or intentional destruction of physical assets. Respond to unusual or emergency situations using appropriate escalation of force level up to and including armed response as dictated by the situation and protocol. Enforce regulations and orders for the site or the premises being secured. DUTIES: Duties listed below cover the general idea of most of the tasks that will normally apply to most of the positions. The tasks may vary depending on a job and specific instructions and the officer might not be required to perform all the tasks listed below: Patrol the assigned premises on foot or in vehicle; monitor the property from unsafe situations and trespassers; prohibit unauthorized access. Prevent unauthorized entries to the premises; protect the property from intentional destruction. Periodic inspection of the property and the surrounding areas of the property being secured. Observe and report incidents or suspicious activities to the superiors. Report incident and prepare incident reports to the supervisory staff. Operate two-way radios for communication with other staff members and supervisor. REQUIREMENTS: Must be a permanent U.S. resident Must be 18 years or older Must possess a valid California Security Officer Certification.Must possess a valid California Firearm permit. Professional attitude; detail oriented; punctuality and honesty. Must have the physical ability to stand/sit for a minimum of eight (8) hours. DESIRED QUALIFICATIONS: Military experience is highly desired but not required. Any type of martial art training or self-defense skills. Report writing. Prior security and law enforcement experience. Knowledge of basic computer skills.
