The SMM is a highly motivated, creative individual with experience and a passion for connecting NSWC Corona internal and external communities. Administration includes but is not limited to: • Designing, implementing and administering social media content for the NSWC Corona Command • Planning, strategizing and goal setting of media postings, events and community outreach • Collaborate with other teams in the creation and publishing of daily/weekly/monthly content (stories, photos, news and videos, etc) • Suggest and implement ways to improve communication within the NSWC Corona Command departments and community in general • Stay up to date with current technologies and trends in social media, design tools and applications • Administrate the creation and publishing of relevant, original, high-quality content (for relevant channels) • Create a regular publishing schedule and promote content through social advertising outlets • Implement a content editorial calendar to manage content and plan specific timely outreach campaigns • Integrate all channels of marketing (social media, Search Engine Optimization (SEO), content marketing, email, print and digital marketing) • Manage or oversee all social advertising campaigns Community participation. Community leadership and participation (both online and offline) are integral to a Social Media Manager’s success. An essential component is communicating the Command’s goals and objectives in a positive, authentic way what will attract future talent. The Social Media Manager is instrumental in managing the Command’s content-related assets. Utilization of most trusted search engines is essential.
Experience in communications, public relations, business or journalism preferred. Education related courses. Bachelor’s degree in communications, public relations, business or journalism preferred or 1-2 years experience .
