Job Description

The Role:

  • Assists in directing and coordinating the activities relating to Marketing for House of Blues Foundation Room and VIP Services in the Music Halls. As a member of the Marketing team, your role is to coordinate all Marketing efforts on a venue basis.

Responsibilities:

National Marketing:

  • Assist the Marketing Manager with development, implementation, and execution of strategic Foundation Room and VIP Services venue marketing plans.
  • Summary/Recap of National Marketing efforts on a monthly basis (inclusive of new venues, National Marketing Campaigns, email sends, etc)
    • Make sure all guest facing marketing material is up to date with current promotions or any changes
    • Maintain Foundation Room and VIP Services digital presence through third party applications (menu changes, hour changes, etc)
    • Work with creative services to develop creative material
    • Monitor collateral and ordering requirements across all venues
    • Compose detailed portfolios of all marketing efforts for new venue openings
    • Ability to travel to House of Blues venues where needed

Social Media:

  • Develop social media content for all 7 Foundation Room Instagram accounts
  • Develop social media content for VIP Services for all 12 House of Blues Instagram accounts
  • Create editorial calendar with content and copy on a monthly basis for all 7 Foundation Room Instagram accounts
  • Create editorial calendar with content and copy on a monthly basis for all 12 House of Blues Instagram accounts
  • Work with social media team on paid social media advertising plans
  • Provide recap on performance of organic and paid social media posts
  • Monitor social media review sites monthly
  • Review venue improvement, engagement and increasing awareness through social media platforms. 
  • Post all created content
  • Engage followers across social media handles (questions, concerns, complaints, etc.)

Email/Salesforce/SevenRooms:

  • Success Factors collections tracking
  • Success Factors monthly tracking & reporting
  • Work with membership team on quarterly prospecting email sends
  • Distribute National email sends on behalf of Foundation Room and VIP marketing campaigns
  • Develop yearly activity recap email for members and VIP clients
  • Create email audiences for National email sends

Administration:

  • Complete other duties as assigned
  • Review invoices for accuracy and receive approval for payment
  • Work with the web team to keep all Artist spotlights up to date

Qualifications:

Required:

  • Bachelor’s degree in marketing or related degree,
  • 3-5 years marketing experience.
  • Detail-oriented and able to coordinate multiple work streams under deadline pressure
  • Ability to take initiative, problem solve and perform research
  • General knowledge of music, sports, theater, and family events
  • Knowledge of concert promotion and live event business
  • Tolerance of all cultures, music and art forms

Preferred:

  • Knowledge of the principles of target marketing
  • Extensive knowledge of Microsoft Office programs, particularly MS Excel and PowerPoint
  • Graphic design knowledge a plus

Physical Demands/Working Environment:

  • Work environment is fast-paced
  • Position requires extended periods of prolonged standing, bending, stooping, telephonic communications, and reaching
  • Must be able to lift or move up to 25 lbs using proper lifting techniques
