Defense Contractor/ National Defense
Perform a wide variety of tasks including planning, scheduling, coordinating and reporting in support of the manufacturing work flow.
Receive all materials into SAP accounting system and assign materials to production orders as needed.
Act as a liaison on pass-thru materials; work closely with the production assistant to resolve any issues.
Support the outsource function of printed circuit boards and cables from procurement of components to kitting of boards to receipt of end items.
Work with the Buyer to review the on-order report to ensure on-time deliveries.
Assist with vendor contact, requests for quotes, and follow-up.
Receive and track incoming packages; verify contents against the packing slip and purchase order.
Communicate order discrepancies to the buyer and/or production assistant.
Organize, label, and sort material into specific locations for projects, KANBAN and general inventory use.
Perform inventory cycle counts.
Facilitate merchandise returns by packaging items and coordinating return shipment and documentation.
Set up lab to ensure optimal layout to meet changing production needs.
Act as the backup for technical production tasks including preparation of part, sandblasting, and assembly.
High School diploma required.
1-2 years of experience in manufacturing environment and shipping/receiving role.
Proficient user of Microsoft excels
Must be familiar with safety best practices and safety equipment.
