Job Description

OVERVIEW

Supervises Security Officers and/or other personnel, including patrol and Shift Supervision staff;

ensures that all personnel deliver high quality service; evaluates service quality and initiates any

necessary corrective action in a timely manner.

Meets with Corporate Management Staff and/or Customer Representatives for status updates

and to address any actual or potential problems; provides support during contract start-ups;

provides input to security planning, assessments and surveys; reviews post instructions and

communicates requirements and changes to affected personnel.

In collaboration with Corporate Management Staff provides orientation for training assigned

Officers; assists in interviewing and selection of Officers; works to develop and retain a high

caliber of Officers, including measuring performance, promotion and career path development

for Officers; ensures that each Officer is treated with dignity and respect.

Assigns and directs work; coaches Officers, and carries out disciplinary actions, as necessary;

supports Officers as appropriate in carrying out their respective responsibilities; refers

problematic issues to Corporate Management Staff.

Maintains a positive, professional environment in full compliance with applicable laws,

regulations, policies and procedures; ensures that Officers understand and comply with

applicable laws, regulations, policies and procedures.

Communicates and coordinates with Corporate Management Staff regarding scheduling,

staffing, equipment, record keeping and related matters, to ensure smooth delivery of

customer security services, meets with Corporate Management Staff and other Security

Supervisors to discuss customer service, initiative, personnel matters, and related issues.

Inspects customer sites as assigned to ensure adequate coverage and compliance with post

instructions; visits customer representatives to ensure they remain satisfied with services

provided; covers vacant posts as necessary.

Reviews all customer and company required reports for accuracy and timeliness; assists in

preparing and submitting payroll information as required.

Job Requirements:

Must be at least 21 years old

Must have a valid California Driver License

Must be a U.S. citizen or authorized to legally work in the U.S.

Associates Degree or higher preferred but not required.

2 years of verifiable supervisory or management experience or an equivalent combination of

education and experience.

Must have excellent computer skills; strong working knowledge of Microsoft Office (Word,

Excel, Outlook)

Must have effective oral, written an interpersonal communication skill
